The Creation of a Successful Makerspace Depends on Following a Step-by-Step Process

  • Description: With the popularity of makerspaces, many schools want to include them, but sometimes they don’t know where to start. With necessary components such as fabrication equipment, design software (i.e., CAD and 2D), interactive devices, furniture, and learning management software, starting a makerspace can be an intimidating process. This session will provide lessons learned and a detailed process to follow to design, implement and sustain a successful makerspace for all student populations.
