EDspaces 2022 EDsession Program & Schedule

The Secrets to Successfully Scaling Active Learning Spaces

  • Description: Why have some schools been successful at rapidly growing their active learning classrooms and learning spaces, while others have struggled? Active learning has been a growing trend in education for decades based on its wholistic impact on student learning. This session presents a large-scale study that uncovers the best practices that lead to successful scaling of active learning spaces that support students, faculty, and institutional success in both the K-12 and higher education environments. The session will share how this study was put into action and applied at Oregon Tech’s new 40 million-dollar Center for Excellence in Engineering & Technology.
