Reimagining the Learning Environment to Create Student-Centered Spaces

  • Description: In 2015, Glenview School District 34 began their journey to transform educational environments, at their eight facilities, into student-centered spaces with the teacher as the facilitator. The district began the transformation process by introducing the concept to select teachers. This was done to test the physical space needs and to gauge teacher apprehension associated with the introduction of a new pedagogy. Based on what they learned District 34 is now rolling out this concept across all facilities. Learn how District 34 navigated this dramatic shift in pedagogy.
