Student Outcomes Improve with the Right Furniture Selection Process

  • Description: Ready to buy classroom furniture? Worried about spending funds on items that may not have an impact on learning? Learn how a school district partnered teachers, students, and industry professionals to develop a furniture catalog that ensures district purchases have a transformational impact on the success of students all while maintaining functional needs, timeframe and budget. This session will detail 3 methodologies used to mitigate risk and determine the best furniture for learning, both in older K-8 classrooms and in newly constructed high school classrooms, and how that implementation influenced classroom space and teacher professional learning.
